WHAT IS VIDEO SYNCHING?

Video synching combines the video of a deposition with the transcript in a way that utilizes the advantages of both. The end product is the video digitally synchronized with the corresponding transcript and allows the user a multitude of options and flexibility for their video depositions. VideoSynching.com specializes in synching – it’s all we do!

The first step we take is to digitize your video deposition. This means that we use an encoder PC card to turn your video into a computer file (mpeg1). If you send us the video already digitized, then we can immediately begin synching it with the transcript.

The synching is accomplished by loading the video (MPEG) and the electronic (ASCII) file of the transcript into our synching software. The software then analyzes the audio portion of the MPEG and matches it with the text of the ASCII to produce a timecoded, or synched, file. After synching is complete, one of our technicians will error-check the file to ensure accuracy.

Upon completion of error-checking, VideoSynching.com will then burn your synched video onto a CD. The synched video can be imported into virtually any litigation software - or if you don't have litigation software, you can use the included software which allows full searching and clip-making functionality. This format enables you to view the transcript and the synched video on screen at the same time.
